RS&H Recognized with Three International Interior Design Awards

[Jacksonville, Fla.] – The International Interior Design Association North Florida (IIDA) chapter presented employee-owned, national architecture, engineering, and consulting firm RS&H with three prestigious awards: the Extra-Large Commercial Workplace award, the Best Use of Materials award, and the People’s Choice award for best overall design at the annual Illuminate Design Awards gala recently.  

“These awards are an incredible honor and testament to the consistency and excellence of our work,” said Briehn Wildman, NCIDQ, IIDA, Project Manager/Interior Designer at RS&H. “The talent and collaboration of our interior designers, architects, and engineers who contributed their expertise to these projects are the driving forces behind our success.” 

The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) is the Commercial Interior Design Association with a global reach that supports design professionals, industry affiliates, educators, students, and firms through an extensive nationwide network. Every year, IIDA selects individuals, companies, and organizations to celebrate and honor based on their contribution to and influence on interior design education, the industry, and the greater design community.  

RS&H received an award for the modernization of an existing 800,000 square foot Campus on Southside Boulevard near the Avenues Mall for a confidential client. This entailed the complete renovation of the interiors of five buildings transforming them into a series of neighborhoods gathered around a central work café which serves as the town center. This also included the installation of new electrical, mechanical and communication systems.

In addition to the award for their campus modernization work with a confidential client, RS&H’s work on the JEA Corporate Headquarters project was selected for the best use of material award. Located in the heart of Duval County, RS&H associates refreshed and redesigned the new seven-story JEA headquarters building with a dynamic design to appeal to the company’s multi-generational workforce and better serve their customers.

The JEA HQ project is certified LEED Gold for tenant improvements, a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement and leadership. RS&H also designed the JEA HQ improvements to meet WELL Silver requirements, showcasing the firm’s continued leadership in sustainable design for buildings.

RS&H was also honored with the People’s Choice Award for best overall design, an award voted on by fellow IIDA members and the public, reflecting the community’s appreciation and support.
