[Jacksonville, FL] RS&H has hired Esteban Alfonso to expand the national architecture, engineering, and consulting firm’s capabilities in providing financial planning and aviation activity forecasting for aviation clients.

In his role as Principal Aviation Planner, Alfonso will collaborate with project teams to advance RS&H’s airport financial consulting services capabilities. Alfonso has over 22 years of experience in various aviation-related functional areas, including air service, demand forecasting, financial feasibility studies, financial modeling, rates and charges, airline use, and lease agreement development and negotiations.

“With over $62 billion in eligible airport capital development anticipated to occur before 2027, we are thrilled to have Esteban join RS&H. With his experience, RS&H has strengthened the financial planning and aviation demand forecasting services we provide our aviation clients. His expertise has led countless airports through their financial planning and capital implementation process. We are excited to have him help our clients reach their goals,“ said Michael Becker, RS&H’s Aviation Planning Service Group Leader. “Esteban brings a remarkable combination of stellar technical skills and experience in assisting numerous airports across the country in finance and forecasting support; in addition to his background in day-to-day airport management, he has worked with clients spanning a broad spectrum of the air transportation industry, including airlines, airports, state and federal governments, and tourism boards.” added Becker.

Prior to joining RS&H, Alfonso was a director at an airport financial economic and concession consultancy. Additionally, he served as the Manager of Airline Affairs for the Maryland Aviation Administration, where he oversaw the use and lease agreement with air carriers and all space and facilities contracts at Baltimore/Washington International Airport.

Along with providing aviation infrastructure consulting services to over 200 airports, RS&H offers a broad range of financial and demand forecasting consulting services. The firm provides a comprehensive and customized approach to financial feasibility analysis and airport demand forecasting by providing the following services: financial modeling, rates and charges, airline use and lease agreement development and negotiations, federal funding assistance, benefit-cost analysis, AIP project justifications, realistic capital improvement plans and Federal Aviation Administration grant support. RS&H draws upon a deep bench of aviation expertise, an understanding of economic principles, and airport operations to generate pragmatic financial solutions customized to meet clients’ goals and objectives.
