Mike LaViolette Joins RS&H to Lead Complex Bridge Services Group

[Jacksonville, Fla] Employee-owned RS&H announces that Mike LaViolette, PE, has joined the company as Vice President and National Complex Bridge Discipline Leader. With more than 30 years of experience in complex bridge design, construction engineering, and technical leadership, LaViolette brings immense expertise to RS&H’s national bridge practice. 

LaViolette has played an integral role in designing and managing some of the most notable bridge projects in North America, including the Governor Mario Cuomo Bridge (formerly known as the Tappan Zee Bridge) in New York and the Ontario Line Project in Toronto, Canada. His vast background also includes leadership in advanced bridge construction techniques and solutions that ensure durable, innovative, and cost-effective infrastructure for clients.

His remarkable experience in complex bridge engineering will deepen our technical expertise and position us to take on even more challenging projects,” said Matt Chynoweth, PE, Vice President and National Bridge Group Leader for RS&H. “Mike’s leadership will strengthen our bridge practice, expand our expertise in complex bridges, and create opportunities for our bridge associates nationwide.” 

LaViolette shares RS&H’s dedication to delivering innovative solutions tailored to client needs. “Joining RS&H gives me the opportunity to collaborate with an incredibly talented and dedicated bridge group,” he said. “I look forward to contributing to groundbreaking projects and helping clients solve complex infrastructure challenges.” 

A licensed professional engineer in multiple states, as well as Ontario, Canada, LaViolette earned a Master of Science in Structural Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University 

This strategic addition underscores RS&H’s commitment to fostering technical excellence and advancing its capabilities in delivering large-scale, complex bridge projects across the nation.
